Our Spaces
The house at Southern Oaks Event Venue has been fully restored and includes a bridal suite, ladies loft, grooms room, family room, and cozy coffee room for your bridal party and family. Our covered outdoor chapel provides an intimate and beautiful ceremony setting, while our large reception area is perfect for a night of dining, dancing, and celebration. Our property exudes southern charm, with a breathtaking lawn full of oak and pecan trees, and patio areas, making it an ideal spot for unforgettable wedding photos. For couples looking for a unique ceremony site, ceremonies can also be held on our lush lawn space.
Bridal Suite
Our Bridal Suite is a luxurious space for the bride and her bridal party to prepare for the big day. It's equipped with a full-length wall vanity, illuminated mirrors, and three make-up chairs, so you can get ready in style. The velvet sofa and vintage mirrors create a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere while the private restroom and refrigerator provide necessary amenities. The suite seats up to eight guests, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy your wedding day preparations.
The Ladies Loft
The Ladies Loft at our wedding venue is a dream come true for brides and their larger wedding parties. This additional rent space, located on the second floor of the house features two Hollywood vanities for hair and make-up, as well as a lounge area for waiting. With its private restroom, this loft allows the bride to have a comfortable, relaxing and intimate space to get ready for her big day.
The Grooms Room
The Grooms Room is the perfect space for grooms and groomsmen to relax and unwind before the wedding. The room includes a farm-style table with seating for six, a television, a mini fridge, and additional seating, making it the ultimate hangout spot. The full-length mirror is perfect for those all-important pre-wedding checks, and the cozy fireplace adds a touch of warmth to the room. Spend some quality bro-time in the Grooms Room, and you'll be ready for your wedding day.
The Coffee Room
Get ready for your big day in style in our cozy Coffee Room. It's the perfect place to relax and refresh before the all of the wedding day festivities begin. Our complimentary room comes with extra seating, a fridge, and a fully stocked coffee bar. Make yourself at home and enjoy a cup of delicious coffee while getting ready with your loved ones.
The Family Room
The Family Room is the perfect hideaway for parents and grandparents before the ceremony. Comfortable and cozy, the room is furnished with a large velvet sofa, two plush chairs, and a dining table that comfortably seats up to four people. Enjoy the warmth of the fireplace while creating special moments with your loved ones.
The Chapel
The open-air chapel can accommodate 200 guests with mahogany chair seating. When weather permits, additional seating can be added on the deck, around the Chapel. A beautiful stone fireplace becomes the perfect backdrop for the altar. Large sliding wood doors reveal the bride as she comes down the chandelier-lit aisle. The chapel is a perfect option during inclement weather and within just a few feet of our large reception area.
Outdoor Ceremony Areas
Southern Oaks has the unique ability of offering either an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Outdoor ceremonies can be held on our lush lawn, in the pecan grove, or underneath the enormous oak tree. Each spot adds its own unique and beautiful element to your special day.
The Reception Area
Our reception area is one of the largest in Lexington County, accommodating up to 285 guests. It is filled with charming vintage furniture, a large bar area and two large restrooms, each having a full stocked vanity.
It also includes large, hand-built wooden farm tables along with linen-covered round tables. As well as a sizable dance floor in the middle of the room, directly under a mix of beautifully strung sets of bistro lights and chandeliers. A combination that makes for the perfect mix between romantic and festive.
The surrounding decks are scattered with overhead string lighting, old pecan and oak trees and a lush lawn. There is also a fire pit that is available for rent that provides the perfect gathering space when weather permits.
